As a Chicagoan, Kwyn channels her Southside experiences into her writing. She understands the importance of seeking and capturing the truth. She is a graduate from the University of Dayton. She is also a graduate student at Columbia college in Chicago. She has experience in the fields of print and broadcast journalism. In addition, she hosted a radio show in Cameroon, Africa on Ocean City Radio and a hour long talk show on WUDR 99.5/FM in Ohio. Because of her experiences, she prioritizes efficiently, work well with others, and exude professionalism. Most importantly, she have a strong passion for writing and journalism. As Ida B. Wells once said, "The way to right wrongs is to turn the truth of light upon them". Kwyn is a known speaker that influences her community. She has delivered many sermons at Trinity United Church of Christ a church known for its involvement with social justice and other churches in Chicago. She has also been the keynote speaker for the Off the Sidelines Feminist Conference featured the Chicago City Commissioner Bridget Gainer and many other places! Kwyn speaks about issues related to people of color and shines light on the issues that people often overlook. Kwyn channels her passion for social equity through her journalism, poetry and spoken word. Her poetry has been featured in the Huffington Post, BLAVITY, ForHarriet and a host of others. She has performed at many college campuses including but not limited to California State University at Monterey Bay, University of Cincinnati – Blue Ash and Denison University.
