Creative Workforce Coordinator
As the Creative Workforce Coordinator, Aira Alcantara develops strategies and implements the programmatic framework for Industry Pathways. She assists to secure internships, work opportunities, and freelance work for program participants by creating a network of partnerships in the film, media, and workforce development sectors. Aira comes with six years of experience securing funding and opportunities within the healthcare industry. Prior to FSM, Aira secured seven-figure reimbursements for local hospitals and medical facilities.
In addition to her work at FSM, Aira can be found behind and in front of the camera. She has a deep passion for content creation and storytelling. She is a co-organizer for events such as A g Thing!, Melanin Voices, and Boss Babes Brunch Series. Aira is currently producing a web series called G.R.A.I.L.S. that delves into the colorful competitive world of sneaker culture.
Aira hopes to successfully make an impact and create a lasting experience on Chicago’s youth. She strives to continue to build meaningful relationships within the industry to foster a sense of community for the future creatives of the world.
