Sherice Rushing

Production Coordinator, HoopsHIGH

Growing up in Chicago, Sherice always pictured herself working in media due to the excitement of the city. The dream first started while she attended Prosser Career Academy High School located on the westside of Chicago. There she studied graphic design and quickly fell in love with the visual aspect and realized that this was a career that she wanted to pursue. While that was her career choice, she decided to go the more practical route and pursue a career in Social Work, out of fear that her parents wouldn’t approve of her choice. She received her B.A. in Social Work and Human Services. Later deciding that she was going to follow her dreams, she received a certification in TV and Radio Broadcasting from the Illinois Media School. She gained more experience in the broadcast industry by working as a Broadcasting Technician for the Village of Hinsdale. Sherice joins Free Spirit Media as the Hoops High Production Coordinator, where she is working with the youth to provide hands on experience operating in the broadcast industry. Her love for sports and youth makes this the perfect place to be. She looks forward to inspiring and helping the youth grow in media.
