Tracee Stanford

Civic Media Manager

Tracee Stanford is excited to return to Free Spirit Media as Civic Media Manager. With over a decade of broadcast journalism and youth development experience, Tracee is eager to bring insight to program staff and serve as a resource to help young journalists position themselves for success.

In 2006, Tracee first joined the FSM family when she took on the role as program coordinator at the Gary Comer Youth Center. During this time, she instructed youth and developed curriculum that laid the foundation for one of the organizations key journalism programs, FSM News. From there she went on to work as the inaugural teacher for the Broadcast Journalism Academy at George Westinghouse College Prep.

Tracee’s network media experience extends to an NBC affiliate in Springfield, IL where she worked as a statehouse reporter. She also reported and produced for Alabama Public Television’s weekly news show, Alabama@Work and worked as morning news producer for an NBC affiliate in Montgomery, Alabama.

Tracee’s greatest passion in life is being mom to her two daughters, Chloe Grace and Harper Elizabeth, and a loving wife to her husband Robert. While filling these roles, she also works as a freelance media instructor and producer for the small business she continues to build, Tracee Cenese Media.

Other past times for Tracee include leading children in ministry at her church in Hyde Park and using shabby chic flair to paint and repurpose vintage furniture.
