OUR PORTFOLIO Free Spirit Media offers an incremental line up of community-based programs for teens and young adults ages 14-25 interested in the film, media, and journalism industries. Our 3 categories of programming are: In-School Media Arts Education, After School and Summer Digital Media Programs, and Creative Workforce Development.*
ENGAGE
Our programs are based on Chicago's West Side. The media our youth producers create respond to key issues affecting these communities.

GET PAID
WE VALUE YOUTH CREATIVITY. All Free Spirit Media participants receive stipends for their contributions. We pay our artists as a response to the employment needs of the communities we work in and to increase access to Chicago's creative economy, particularly for communities of color.
