Operations & Communications Manager

Crislin is an artist, writer, youth facilitator, operations professional, and 3rd-generation North Lawndale, Chicago community member. At 16, Crislin moved to California with her parents and brother, and while there she received her BA in American Studies with an emphasis on race, media and education from UC Berkeley. After graduating in 2018, she returned to Chicago and founded critical youth media, which focuses on building media literacy and digital storytelling skills in the city’s westside youth.

As the Operations & Communications Manager, Crislin is excited to create and strengthen systems that contribute to the efficiency of FSM’s programs, events, and community outreach strategies as well as bringing her passion for media literacy and creative agency to the Westside of Chicago’s youth and their families. Crislin’s personal and professional values are integrity, collaboration, transparency and compassion.
