Fifth-generation sugar skull maker preserves Mexican traditions in Chicago

Elvira Mondragón García, a fifth-generation sugar skull maker has been displaying and selling her work for 19 years at National Museum of Mexican Art.

Both traditions and innovations can be seen in her work, which speaks to her experience.
