We have been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020 began, which has transformed life as we know it. One of the biggest changes to come from this pandemic has to be remote learning. With a deadly disease going around, we can't trust sending children into schools safely, so remote learning has now become the new normal across the world. For the most part based on social media, parents and kids alike are not too happy with having to switch to online learning.

Moms are writing on Facebook to complain:

vrtual learning is just not working for u, I go check on Bri, and she is  sleep in the chair and the teacher is just talking away”

This virtual shit is sick and unfair….This shit is really sad bruh”

“I need to go to the store, and this virtual learning seems to drag all day! I am over it.”

I found a post from a current Chicago Public School (CPS) teacher where she outlines why she highlights online learning as the best and safest choice for our kids today.

I think that negativity from the moms on Facebook is very valid. In turn, I also agree with the CPS teacher. It is safer to keep our children at home behind those computer screens. Granted it might be frustrating, and take some getting used to, but the protection of our youth is priceless. Our children are our future and we need them to be healthy. I think that the main positive to remote learning is safety, and that issue should remain a priority.
