How the United Center is ensuring the safety of their attendees amidst the Pandemic Series (Part One)
Before the start of the Chicago Bulls’ season, there were a lot of questions at hand about their home venue. How successful would the season be? Had the team had enough time to practice? But most importantly, how would the United Center ensure the safety of fans amidst the COVID-19 pandemic?
In early September, the United Center released a statement: visitors are required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test 48 hours prior to the event.
One of the new public health amenities at the United Center is a new air filtration system that allows fresh air to cycle through the arena every seven minutes.
As featured on United Center's Know Before You Go web page, there's also a list of rules and regulations every attendee must follow. That includes a mandatory mask policy, which requires all guests over the age of two to wear a face mask that completely covers their nose and mouth. Masks are to be always worn while in the arena, apart from when actively eating or drinking.
Rest assured, whoever it is that is sitting beside you will either be fully vaccinated or have provided a negative covid test.
Stay tuned for Part 2, as I visit the United Center for the Chicago Bulls vs Nuggets on Dec. 6.
