Weather Officials Predict More Snow For Sunday

Chicago isn’t done with snowfall just yet!
According to the National Weather Service Chicago, there is “potential for accumulating snow area-wide Sunday and Sunday night.” Depending on the moisture levels, officials estimate anywhere between 1.5 - 5 inches of more snow.
Already this week (Feb. 14 -16), The National Weather Service (NWS) cites that the Chicagoland has experienced between 12 - 18 inches due to the lake effect and snow enhancements. The official snowfall for Chicago was 7.5 inches which was observed at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
This winter Chicago experienced 9 consecutive days of measurable snowfall from Feb. 8-16 which ties with the number of consecutive days of snowfall set Feb 3 -11 2018. The last three weeks, from Jan. 26th through Feb. 15 also marks the “snowiest three-week stretch” since the winter of 1978 -1979. There has been a total of 34 inches of snow so far!
