Thanks to the Chicago Tribune for featuring our South Side FSM News program at the Gary Comer Youth Center.

"Giving [youth] the power to tell their own stories, it's good practice for them to see the ways they can change how they're represented and make change in their communities."

Free Spirit Media summer programs kicked off yesterday in North Lawndale and Greater Grand Crossing. This season we are employing 110 youth and young adults in six programs that focus on broadcast journalism, sports broadcasting, civic journalism, and video production.
