Bose’ Akadiri grew up in Oklahoma, where she dreamed of living in a major metropolitan city. She studied abroad twice, which ignited in her a desire to learn about different types of people.

Akadiri would realize 10 years post-university that she was comfortable yet unsatisfied with her life, so she decided to develop a life strategy.

Her 1 year goal was to move to Chicago, 5 year goal to land a corporate philanthropy job and 10 year goal to have her own business. Akardiri was determined to make the move whether or not she had a job or any networks. Much to her surprise she was able to beat the timeline for each of these.

She is a results driven coach who is now known as Coach Bose’ to her clients. She became the founder of Goal and Grind in March of 2019. Goal and Grind is a holistic life coaching business. With the support of Akadiri’s mother and close friends it came into existence organically.

“My dream is that as many people as possible in the world, feel valued, feel worthy, and feel capable. They wake up in the morning, and can focus on joy, even in the hardest of days, to keep them going towards their dreams,” Akadiri said.

The purpose of Goal and Grind is to provide a space for individuals to uncover their talents and turn dream-sized goals into reality, one step at a time. Akadiri believes her duty as a coach is to accompany her clients on their journey towards their overarching goal.

"When I work with clients, I'm amazed at what their dreams are,” Akadiri said. “There's huge, big dream-sized goals. It's exciting to hear about them. It's exciting to cheer for them. That's really the purpose of Goal and Grind is getting people to their divine purpose."

Goal and Grind offers bi-weekly individual coaching sessions with Akadiri that last from 30 minutes to an hour. The first session is an initial 30 minute conversation that is free of charge. The discussion will focus on the client's goals and dreams, whether the client has prior experience working with a coach, and what the client hopes to accomplish through coaching.

Based on this first session, Akadiri and the client will tailor a package that’s best suited for them. If the client decides to move forward, they will meet with Akadiri bi-weekly to create clear guidelines of what they will work on based on what the client wants to accomplish. Akadiri supports her clients by asking insightful questions  and encouragement as they work towards their goals.

Goal and Grind also hosts Vision & Goal parties in which attendees are walked through the G&G Goal Crushing Method and have an opportunity to share throughout the process. The parties, which are held virtually during the pandemic, occur quarterly, but clients can also schedule private Vision & Goals parties any time.

"Then at the end of it, you know what all your friend's goals are, and you're able to collectively support each other and be your accountability partners,” Akadiri said.

The parties start with clients and attendees recalling what brings them joy. This activity ensures they have focused on their purpose, and there's alignment between what they enjoy doing and their talents. When the alignment is confirmed, the focus begins to shift into envisionment.

This is the first step towards turning a visualization into reality by developing the confidence and the belief needed for their long term goals. After the activity is over, they have a roadmap of how to get there with goals  set in four key areas: personal, professional, health, and financial.

"The reason for that is I believe we are each whole humans,” said Akadiri. “Oftentimes in life, we focus on one area or another, and the rest isn’t nurtured. But if you are intentional, and set goals in each of the four key areas, then everything is uplifted together, and you attain a deeper sense of balance in life."

Goal and Grind will soon offer the G&G Circle which will allow for a deeper sense of community and accountability around accomplishing goals  providing clients with a space to support  each other and be supported along their journey. .

Akadiri said, “Support, encouragement and celebration deserve to be had before, during and after every accomplishment. The G & G Circle will offer that to participants!”

Eboni Henderson, a client who lives in New York, has attended a Vision & Goals Party and receives Individual Coaching from Akadiri. Henderson shares her experience working with  Akadiri.

Shrodes said, "I will say that it's definitely helped me with rooting myself in joy when I'm thinking about conceptualizing my path. For the last month, I spent a lot of time thinking about the joy

bubble exercise that I did, and what parts of that I want to grow in this year and the next five years and 10 years."

Akadiri said, "Focus your attention on JOY and FAITH...rather than fear & doubt!"
