Flash Forward interns and fellows receive opportunities to gain hands on experience and exposure in the media, film and television industry or in the classroom as crew leaders in Free Spirit Media’s youth summer journalism and broadcast programs. Opportunities are available for young creatives ages 16-24 with a passion for media production or journalism.
The Chicago Track is a workshop and networking event series for emerging creatives who are interested in learning about the film and music industries. All Chicago Track events are free and open to the public for young adults ages 18-25.

The FREE SPIRIT MEDIA INDUSTRY PATHWAYS COHORT TRAINING PROGRAM is a unique opportunity for emerging Chicago-based media makers ages 18-25 to learn fundamental knowledge, build skills and gain the experience necessary to lay a foundation for a successful career in the film, media and TV industries. Previous Industry Cohort productions include Drive Slow (2017), written and directed by Terrence Thompson (Cohort, ‘17) and Fuzzy Legs, written and directed by Amber Eswani (Cohort, ‘18).
