Candice J. Abioye is thrilled to be joining the brilliant team of storytellers at Free Spirit Media! She’s a native of East Saint Louis, IL, but Chicago has been home for the past decade. For her, Black theatre is sanctuary and she comes with a wealth of experience as an actor, educator, and teaching artist throughout the Chicago and East Saint Louis communities. She is a life-long learner and firm believer that we all are endowed with gifts and talents that are best utilized when shared with others. She holds a B.A. in Theatre from St. Louis University and an M.S. in Leadership for Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University. She looks forward to serving, learning, and thriving in the rich community of North Lawndale while contributing to the legacy of the Chicago arts community and beyond!
