In The Loop Out The Blue: Episode 1: Keepin' Hope Alive featuring Rachel Williams
By The Real Chi
In this premiere episode of the Real Chi’s podcast, we dive deeper into the conversation on the disparity South side students face in education, discipline and all around love from their city. Englewood’s Hope High School is one of the four South side schools on CPS’ chopping block and is slated to be phased out in the next three years. Students have been vocal — protesting against the city’s ongoing violence towards their communities — but our special guest and a Hope alum, Rachel Williams, says the students are keeping their hope alive. We also take a look at some of the biggest headlines of the past month, shout out the positives happening in our communities, get commuter perspectives on harassment on the "L", and leave you all with a minute of love to keep the love alive, until next time. A special thank you to Airgo Radio and Cards Against Humanity — both of whom aided in the successful production of this podcast.
